An OpenSSL vulnerability was recently discovered that can potentially impact internet communications, and transmissions that were otherwise intended to be encrypted. Arbor Bank is aware of the critical vulnerability known as “Heart Bleed”. According to reports, the vulnerability has existed since 2012, but was only recently discovered. The US Department of Homeland Security is currently reporting that there are no known attacks or malicious incidents involving this particular vulnerability.
